More with less is not a strategy

"Do more with less" is what a company says when it has run out of ideas.
Pavel Samsonov makes a similar point in The future of UX design is not a higher-velocity version of its present. Companies avoid "better" because "more" is safer, and AI just speeds that up. I think the habit is older than AI. My bet is that cheaper software means more software, not better software.
He pushes designers toward service design. Sounds right, but changing policy takes power and most designers don't have it. Saying "no" and giving reasons is more realistic.
Faster isn't always bad. A throwaway prototype is a cheap way to learn an idea is bad. The trouble starts when nobody throws it away.
He says this can't be fixed at the individual level, yet the post opens with a workshop that promises to teach you to "stop waiting for permission." That sounds like an individual fix to me.
